Who we are
We’re the Barnes family. Years ago, we followed a deep pull north and planted roots in the quiet woods of Aroostook County, Maine. With Lauren’s background in storytelling and marketing, and Zeb’s lifelong love of the outdoors, Forerunner Farms was born as a place to live simply, work meaningfully, and welcome others into both. Whether we’re raising sheep, guiding a backcountry trip, or building a website for a small-town business, we do it all with intention — and a deep love for the land that now feels like home.
